In order to develop an department of excellence in library and information Science, Shri JJT University established the Department of LIS in its campus to run D.L.I.Sc. 1 year ( Diploma Course), B.L.I.Sc. 1 Year ( Bachelor Course ), M.L.I.Sc. 1 Year ( Master Course ) and Ph.D. Program . The objective of the Department is to disseminate information knowledge that meets the demands of the fast-changing economic, social and Technical institutions. The emphasis is to look at information as an instrument of technical change, progress and to inculcate amongst students a high degree of professionalism with a sense of responsibility towards the society.
The main objective is promotes excellence in research contributions to the base of theoretical and practical knowledge in library and information science. Helps students develop an understanding of how to meet the varied and changing information needs of individuals and groups in a global society

1. The fees/charges may be revised by the University; the revised fees/charges will be applied prospectively.
2. The motto of SJJTU is that no one whose cures admission to SJJTU shall discontinue studies on account off in social constraints. Keeping this in mind, the SJJTU will provide necessary financial assistance to the needy students. The SJJTU has a vibrant Scholarship Policy to help the poor and the needy.
