In order to develop an department of excellence in library and information Science, Shri JJT University established the Department of LIS in its campus to run D.L.I.Sc. 1 year ( Diploma Course), B.L.I.Sc. 1 Year ( Bachelor Course ), M.L.I.Sc. 1 Year ( Master Course ) and Ph.D. Program . The objective of the Department is to disseminate information knowledge that meets the demands of the fast-changing economic, social and Technical institutions. The emphasis is to look at information as an instrument of technical change, progress and to inculcate amongst students a high degree of professionalism with a sense of responsibility towards the society.
